Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 22, 2026
The short version: ReacMoji does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. Recording, editing, and playback all happen locally on your device. There is no account, no analytics SDK, and no advertising SDK in the app.
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how ReacMoji ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it on your iOS device. By using ReacMoji, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Data we do not collect
ReacMoji has no backend server and does not include any third‑party analytics, advertising, or crash‑reporting SDK. We do not create user accounts, and we do not know who you are. In practical terms, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any other contact information (unless you choose to email us directly)
- Usage analytics, device identifiers, or advertising identifiers
- The videos you record, watch, or react to
- Location data
3. Permissions the app requests, and why
iOS asks you to grant a few permissions before ReacMoji can work. Every one of them is used exclusively to power an on‑device feature — none of it leaves your phone:
- Camera — to show your face‑cam bubble and record your reaction while you watch a video.
- Microphone — to record your voice/commentary alongside the video.
- Screen Recording — the system permission iOS shows when you tap the record button (via ReplayKit); it captures the video, camera bubble, and audio together into one file.
- Photo Library — to let you pick a video clip to react to, and to save your finished reaction video back to your library if you choose to.
You can review or revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
4. Videos you paste as a link
ReacMoji lets you paste a direct video link (for example, an .mp4 or .m3u8 URL)
to react to. When you do this, your device connects directly to the address you entered to stream and
play that video — ReacMoji does not relay, proxy, cache, or store that traffic on any server we control.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to view and react to any link you paste; see our
Terms of Service for more on this.
5. Where your recordings live
Recordings, trimmed clips, and thumbnails are saved inside the app's private storage on your device (visible to you in the Projects tab) and, if you tap Save, in your Photos library. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Deleting a project from the Projects tab, or deleting the video from Photos, removes it from that location. Uninstalling the app removes everything the app stored on your device.
6. Third‑party services
ReacMoji does not embed any third‑party analytics, advertising, or social SDK. The only outbound network connections the app makes are the ones you trigger yourself by pasting a video link (section 4). We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect any to share.
7. Children's privacy
ReacMoji is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because the app does not collect personal information from its users in the first place. If you believe a child has provided us information through our contact email, please reach out and we will delete it.
8. Your choices
Because everything lives on your device, you are always in control: revoke a permission in iOS Settings, delete a project from the Projects tab, or delete the app to remove all local data. There is no remote account or server‑side copy to separately request deletion of.
9. Changes to this policy
If ReacMoji's data practices change — for example, if a future version adds an optional cloud feature — we will update this page and change the effective date above before that change ships.
